The Lark Trio's Poetry and Song program is designed for local venues, including schools, libraries and retirement communities. Bonnie Thivierge, narrator, Elisabeth Palmedo, soprano and Ann Jupp, piano, present a program that explores the relationship between poetry and music in the art song. Among our poets are Shelly, James Joyce, and Walt Whitman and our composers include Samuel Barber, Paul Hindemith, and Charles Ives. By hearing the poem read followed by the song the audience will enjoy the harmonious combination of two art forms.
